Talking Engine is in!!!

at last!! tremendous thanks to racerx7fb and mark perez, without your help guys i'd be screwed. after a couple of hours fitting my 12a to the tranny we were able get it to the point where we could bring it together by tightening some of the connecting bolts. after a rough start that thing went in like butter. let me tell you it is much easier to put an engine in with 3 people....especially when two of them know what theyre doing (thanks again guys) i love the rotary community, where else would people be so giving as to spend part of their weekend working on a total strangers car?!? these little cars are so much more than transportation they really bring people together. long live the rotary!! anyways this is my joyous rant. just want to say thanks to everyone that gave me advice and such, the next time i post will hopefully be after i drive the little beast. wahoo its only a matter of time now!
-Joe

ps-hope you liked the burritos...ortegas rules!

Sweet deal dude. Can't wait till I come out and can see it. And I agree totally the rx7 is more than "just a car" its a way of life.

Way to go Joe! Next time will be a start up get together? It was great seeing an old ReX beginning to become road worthy again.. it was nice meeting your family too. Keep us informed on the progress. Thank you for the coffee and burritos too! Andy it wasnt really a party but an engine install..firing up that rebuilt 12A will be a party.

good call there mark...for anyone in the san diego or riverside area that needs some of the specialty tools give me a pm. i have the flywheel wrench, tubular dowel puller, flywheel puller, flywheel brake, and a rotary engine stand adapter from mazdatrix. yeah mike, while im sure the 12a was nothing compared to your engine install it was a pain trying to get that thing in by myself.especially when its the first time ive done anything like that long live the learning process!!

I missed the party! So close by, too.

I see enough RX-7's here in San Diego (I'm in East County), nice thing about em is that theres no rust to speak of.

Anyone know if there's an FB specific Southern California group? I'd join up with a general RX-7 group, but FDs make me jealous.
