emissions rules in california
i just want to comment on how it is with emissions in CA. i would save up for an RB exhaust system, but i can't even have one because its not legal on the highway (not that it would stop me from doing so), but still i think its ridiculous on the stupid *** rules we californians have to deal with. also because of this, i can't remove my rat's nest and its retarded. any1 else feel this same way?
Yeah, I do. It's the tree hugging liberals we've got here in the land of fruits & nuts!
Although I do have the header to straight pipe to muffler set up on my car. I'll worry about smogging it next year, then I'll be good for another 2 years.

Easy,
Go get a brake tag and THEN install your exhaust system!!
I get brake tags around here by going to the junk yard and scraping them out of the windshield of the wrecked cars.
Just a little armourall and a razor blade. Works great!

Yeah what is a brake tag?
You CAN buy an exhaust system and you CAN remove the rats nest, you just have to put on the stock stuff when it comes to SMOG time.
That's just how CA is...
Also, avoid the popo, because aside from the obvious tickets, they can also give out fix it slips.

hell yeah. these fast few days, I have been driving the FB with a new Sidepex built 13-B streetport. RX-3 is on vacation til Im done breakign it in so I can do a blow-thru turbo. I still have 900 miles to go on the break-in period since Im using new bearings etc etc. Problem is, I only work 2 miles from home. So it will take me weeks before i can rev it hard. WEll, the good part is.....everyone loves my new cologne...

man cali. is way to hard on the smog tests. i sware if you stand next to your car wile its being tested and fart you will fail.
they need to pressure the big rigs to lighten up on its smog. all i see on the free ways is hugh plumbs of black smoke from the rigs, i know its cus disel and all but that has to have more of an effect then our cars.

You got it. LA smog is tough but no problem when you know wacky…..I wont trade LA for any city in the USA. Can drive 24/7, 20% rainy season, snow = drive 2 hrs to the mountains, and most of all, we’re surrounded with junk yards.
When im out of town, I cant go to sleep because there's no helicopter hovering around the neighborhood, no siren and another thing, I look forward to watching car chase on TV.
