Electrical issue, Simple but IDK where to look

Hey everyone, long time guest, first time member

Really got a problem that needs some sagely advisce if you can help me

I know it's electrical somewhere

OK, so i leave work about 20 minutes ago and i get about 300 yards away when my 85 gs decides to die.

Everything goes out, all electrical components, my key switch doesn't even turn my radio on.

if it helps, my alternator belt seemed loose when i was playing around in the engine bay, so that could? be an indicator of the belt slipping

But i want to know if anyone knows where a master fuse or fuse box would be other than the one under the dash, which every fuse in there is fine.

Please help, i don't want to have to tow it home.

Drake,

You have fuseable links underneith your hood. They are stretces of wires that are found just on the drivers side inner fendor, on the strut tower right beside the battery.

You've likely blown the 'Main' fuseable link. It's a high amp fuse link, and CAN be replaced by a fuse available at most auto parts stores. Your 12A is an 80 AMP main if I remember correctly.

You MAY be able to replace the main fuseable link with another one from your set of fuseable links... but which one, I dont know. Perhaps the headlight one. Dont know if it'll hold though. They're impossible to miss, attached right on the strut tower beside the battery. It's the only thing I can think of that'd kill your entire electric system!

However! It blew for a reason! whether it was age, or you had a short somewhere. They are suppose to blow to prevent damage to the rest of your electronics. So, be cautious..

Main, center, fusible link is rated @ 60 amps. If your alt belt has more than 1/2" total deflection, tighten it. Now is a good time to clean and check all of the battery cable connections.
