Edelbrock how to questions.

Starting here im gathering information to put an edelbrock carb on my rx7, before you say anything, please note that this is all information that ive aquired has been searched. All the questions below are only being asked so that other members, and i, can learn to instal one of these carbs properly. Do not say anything about vaccum problems because for one, even holleys need vaccum for their secondaries, where edelbrock carbs are usually not. Vaccum is vaccum and just because pistons engines make more, doesnt mean that the edelbrock wont work.

Ok now im attempting my edelbrock 600 cfm Manual Choke conversion right now. There are a few ppl on this site that are working towards the same, or have actually already done so. I havent been able to contact anyone on a couple things. Does anyone know what to jet these things down to? How does one run stock on the car? Should i run springs for the secondaries rather than the manual linkage? What bracket are you using to adapt the stock cable? Another thing, do you have to modify the cable? Should i install a heat shield? The extra vaccum port on the carb spacer (nessesary for fitment) could be used as a boost gauge to monitor pressure to optimize gas mileage correct?

I already know a few things:

Stock edelbrocks run 6psi, a holley redline pump runs stock at 7, so a fuel pressure regulator is nessesary, i recomend one from holley with dual outlets so that the second outlet could be used for a fuel pressure gauge. I baught one from autometer, only shitty part is that it mounts under the hood because its mechanical. Note that the you should buy the stainless steel adapter kit so that you dont have to worry about plumbing it yourself, but if you do, do it yourself, then make sure that you can find a 4a fitting to match the gauge. A racing beat intake will bolt right up the edelbrock carb, so thats an added bonus. Transadapt makes the carb spacer for the conversion, anywhere form 1/2" to 2" and i think they even make a larger one. Yet one has to wonder how large you can actually go before not finding a carb hat small enough.

This is prety much all ive got so far. If anyone can help, much thanks. Once my conversion is done, il make sure to do a real how to.
