My in town driving is quite juvenile so I get about 15 mpg.

I'm gonna use this carb/intake setup on my FB for break in purpases. Can the stock pump for a nikki 12A keep up with flow and pressure for an Edelbrock 13B?

no lol.

My stock pump could barely keep up with my rejetted stripped nikki

Good to know. I'll just swap over whatever is in my SA. It works fine. Its some off the shelf pump/regulator. 4.5 #s stamped on the side, but I don't recall any other markings on it from the last time I saw it.

Intake Gasket #16730
Intake O-ring #16735 (two needed for new instal)

Autometer Pressure Gauge 0-15psi #2411
Autometer Stainless Braided Gauge Line #3228 (3') or #3229 (6')
Holley 4.5-9psi Fuel Pressure Regulator #12803
Holley Redline Fuel Pump (preset 7psi) #128011

looking at this, it should cost about $728 for the carb and intake set up, curious how much the holley fuel pump at 7 PSI is needed if I already ahve an aftermarket fuel pump giving 5 PSI
same with the pressure gauge and stainless braided line.

edit: also, is there a difference between the edelbrock above and this Edelbrock? or is it just refurbished
I just realized as I am now ordering each part, there is no real necessity for steel braided lines are there?

EFI rated fuel line (neoprene hose or whatever it is) lasts forever.

Bump for a good thread!

I have 12a Bridgeport and have purchased an Edelbrock 650 avs off road. I noticed the carb already has cross overs cut out on the primary's and secondary's. Do I still need to notch out my carb spacer on the primary side? I already have a 1/2 riser, but with a RB holly 465 on top, no cuts in the spacer. 4 hole.

See the cut out at the main vacuum port. Its about the same size as the cut outs on the Racing Beat carb, but rb mixes the primarys and secondarys.

Did the older elelbrock carbs not have these cut outs? and that's why the spacer was cut. And if so, will I have to try and block the cut outs on the secondary side?

And while we're at it, what the best metering rods to start with?

Bueller...I mean Peejay...

Thanks!

Edit: Mods, I think this should be moved to NA performance.

So I hate to be the guy to kick at a dead horse, but I've been at a stand still thinking about carbs lately..
Can't really run a Webber this far north (temp varies to much), and I hate Holley carbs.
But I kinda wanted to run a 4 barrel carb anyway.
Edelbrock it is!

I talked myself into running a huge street port (racing street port) from pinapple racing.
I had originally thought about going with the 500cfm AVS carb. But now I'm kinda thinking it might not be enuf?
I do like the adjustability of the secondaries on the AVS, but I'm also really digging the new annular boosters on the AVS2!
Thing with the new AVS2 is that it only comes as a 650cfm.

If I was to use a bridge port cut intake from RB, does anyone think the 650 would be to much for a big street port?
Or should I just stick to my original plan, and run the 500??
