Too bad you're too far away for us to line up and put it to "test". If it runs below the standards, then the carb will live up with an old saying "If it doesnt go, chrome it."

I'll post pics of the set up ASAP. By the way its an Edelbrock performer series with a Racing Beat intake manifold and a aluminum spacer. I'm more impressed with this set up than I was with my old newly bought RB modified Holley! RB cost WAY more too!

lol....well fellas I was just out driving this bad boy and its rides soooooo freakin lovely! I was able to use the old Nikki linkage w/ slight modifications and it worked great! Edelbrock is absolutely the best carb I ever had PERIOD! Now I can honestly say for the absolute BEST street carb for the money on a mild street port....EDELBROCK 500 CFM is the way to go. Sorry Racing Beat (Holley) NEVER again. This carb was strait out of the box bolt on and go! How can anyone go wrong???? This was the best "chance" I've ever taken! It rides so nice w/ NO BOGGING on the tight turns like Holley's and Webers.

Latin I went the stealth route and found an old Ford Granada V8 air cleaner assembly in a junkyard. It is aluminum with a (really) low profile and a large plasic fresh air trunk that extends over the radiator overflow tank for cold air. It was a restriction over my old 9" open element K&N filter until I put a K&N in it then kapow. I also added another fresh air hose on the driver side up to the battery but am not sure it really needed it. It rubs the hood reinforcement but only enough to scrape a little of the wrinkle black paint off in spots; no rattling noise detected.
I'm not a big fan of open element filters; hot air is to be avoided at all costs and they are too easily splashed with water and crud.
Jeff, I'm sure a 600 will work just fine; my 12A streetport LOVES my 600! The only mods I've done to it are adding a little lead to the secondary air valve counterweights to slow them down a little as before it tended to flatspot on throttle punches under 4000. Bad in autocross. If I had the money (ha!) I'd get one of the new Thunder series with adjustable spring secondarys...
I'm pretty sure that 13B would take up to a 750 but you might lose some low end; the only difference between Edelbrock carbs is the size of the PRIMARY venturies, NOT the secondarys! Strange but true.
Latin I'm glad you've had no problems with cornering cutout; I wish I could say the same. Mine tends to choke down under hard braking and then spit when I get back on the pedal. Not a big problem. If you notice the Edelbrock is mounted SIDEWAYS on rotarys compared to it's normal orientation it's no wonder...
Sanspistons: I wear an Edelbrock or nothing at all...

I decided to go with the triangular Holley air filter. Not the one with the foam element. It fits and looks great and so far it seems fairly good on gas.

Jeff: sorry to get off thread a little but don't supercharged engines have different carb requirements than normally aspirated? With all that vacuum they don't really need alot of carb if I remember right.
Also was your accelerator shot too much? Edelbrocks are made for much larger engines after all and I found that the stock jetting and accel shot was too much for my little 2.3 (12A) Something you might look into also, Latin270.
Good choice on the Holley filter, Latin; enjoy the Edelbrock.
Sanspistons: jetted as low as they go on the secondarys....

Supercharged engines need much more carb than n/a. the 650 works great on mine but to race I often put my Holley 850 double pumper on. Sure you get a little bog low down, but it sustains boost and pulls harder on top end, however the edelbrock is more streetable. My dream carb (hard find) would be an old old carter thermoquad (about 900 cfm) with small primaries and huge secondaries, best of both worlds. But then I'd need to buy a spreadbore nitrous plate and change the throttle cable bracket too.
