Eccentric Shaft Pulley
I was wondering if the eccentric shaft pulley goes on only one way or if it can go anyway it goes on? I realize the timing marks are on it so just wondering if it needs to align with something else? I took it off not thinking about possible alignment issues.
Thanks

There is nothing that aligns it. There is no "key" other then it needs to go on the same way it came off to be able to set the timing. Whatever you do, do not remove the distributor at this point.
Just a note, some of the early ones had a hole in the eccentric shaft hub and pulley that have a lead rivet mushroomed in them. Mine is like this from a 1982 engine. Makes it nice that I don't loose the timing orientation. I'm not sure which years got this though. I do know the 1983-1985 did not have this.

As long as your timing is close and withen reason that should work. Theres also a way to check
for TDC by looking at the flywheel thru the inspection plate. Its in the FAQ I think, in case you
removed the pulley and messed with the dizzy or turned while both were out of the engine.
