Ebay RX

Im a highschooler looking for RX-7, so Im wondering what people thought of the following RX-7:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...sPageName=WDVW

I know its not running, but I was wondering what opinions you had on what its like. Its not to far from my house so I could possibly check it out before the auction ends, but Im interested in your opinions on what it would take to be a decent driver. That would be this 13B's primary mission, though it would probably see mild modification.

Engine needs a rebuild, dont know how much that is in the US but its £3300 in the UK
looking at the problems and the condition, it should be somthing to give the lads at pimp my ride a challenge, will probs cost $10000 to get into a reasonable state.
Would leave that well alone

Looks like it has too much rust to make it a worthwhile investment. You should be able to find one in decent running condition for just a few hundred more than that one. That one looks like it has been severely neglected/beaten...

Run away, run away!!!!

I'd say look for a better one. If it has lots of rust STAY AWAY!! Rust is a bitch to get rid of and there's always 10x more than you see when you first buy the car. But yeah, that one looks like its in pretty rough shape. They're out there, you just gotta find em.

i'm a high schooler too, picked up a 79 about a year ago. It wasn't run for about 5 years, but a little work (general cleaning, new ignition and fuel components) and it started up. It should be on the road by the time i get my license

...I don't see any rust. The stuff in the right rear coming from the hatch drain looks more like muck than rust, but if it is rust, then I'd suggest walking away. Still worth checking out if it's local.

I agree, get a closer personal look at it. Look for rust. Too hard to tell in pics if it'll be a decent car or not. Sometimes they look worse than they really are. Good luck.

Looks like it's destined to be an interior transplant donor.
