Easy way to disconnect fuel lines on injectors?
Need to get the injectors out. Trying to disconnect the fuel lines, and they won't budge. I don't want to damage them by prying them off. Is there a good method for getting them off?
Also, how much fuel can I expect to spill?
Thanks.

GSL-SE btw.
Also, it seems the front of the two bolts that hold the injector rail in place is right under the pipe that connects to the fuel line, so I can't get a socket onto it. Does the pipe twist to make space? FSM is too vague on this...

no sure if the fuel pump fuse is on the same as the rest of the ign system like on an SA but usually on other cars i have pulled the fuel pump fuse and started the engine until it dies out (no more fuel in the lines) this will rellieve the 40+ or so psi that can be found in most electronic fuel injection systems.

If you let the car sit for a few hours then there will be little to no pressure in the lines. If you want to make sure of this then pull the engine fuse when it is running and that will remove the fuel pressure.
As far as getting to the bolt under the rail. Loosen the fuel pressure damper on that side and it will allow the line/hose to raise allowing access to the lower bolt.
To remove the hoses that attach to the pipes. Take some channel locks or water pump pliers and gently twist the hoses back and forth (where they attach to the steel pipe). They will loosen. Recommend while you are there to replace those hoses since they will probably be the original ones.

Ah, sweet. Thanks! That totally helped. Got them out. Whew.
Of course now I need to find a way to replace those brittle-*** connectors that of course snapped like they were made of sugar... Grrr.

make sure you use something (lube of some sort) on the o-rings or replace them. i replaced all of mine after having one leak.....only you can prevent FPR and a other fuel related engine fires.

Ok, so I got the new connectors with housings. I was going to cut the wires and butt-connect, but after examining the housings it seems you can just pop the metal connectors out with a paper clip, by pressing on the little tabs inside, and so I just did that, bent the tabs up a bit so they grab better, and slid the old connectors into the new housings. Seems like a clean approach. Is that a legit way to do it? Or should I have used new wires? Old wires and connectors seem very clean and in good shape, so I figured it doesn't matter.
