Question Easiest way to convert to front mount oil cooler

I just read a thread regarding the crappy water/oil one Mazda used on a few years. I have a heavily modified '83 but i'm still using my water/oil cooler. What's the easiest way to convert to front mount? I was told to buy a radiator from an earlier rx7 with the oil cooler mounts below it, and swap everything over to my '83. Does that sound right? Or I suppose I could go the GSL-SE route. Anyone have any spare parts for sale?

Thanks,
Matt

you could use a radiator, oil cooler, and oil lines from a 79-82. this would make the oil cooler sit right below the radiator.
i recommend using your radiator, which is larger, buying the oil cooler from a 79-82 or a GSL-SE and use the racing beat oil lines, which are longer, and mount the oil cooler in front of the radiator. Then, you have to take the off side panel that the radiator mounts to, and cut it so that the lines can get to the cooler. The oil lines will run you about 125, are stainless steel, look good, and is a great mod.
As far as the oil cooler goes, i have one on my stock 79 that ill sell you, but i would need the one you have to throw back onto it (the 79 is getting sold).
PM if your interested

Whats the GSL-SE route? I thought they had the water/oil cooler too. (im probably wrong though) I just bought an SE, is the oil cooler in it good, or should I swap it out for the one in my 82?

SE has a air-to-oil oil cooler. I can't remember if it's up front or on bottom (im pretty sure its up front)

i see no difference, i think they are same. negligible if they are diff (dont think they would spend that much in manufacturing costs when they already had the oil coolers from the 82s)
