Great score Dave, I'll bet you were chewing nails through the entire auctions. For some reason, out of all the 1st gens, Spark Yellow SAs have become my favorite.

Last time I checked, the wrecking yard close to my house had 2 79s. I am pretty sure one had the original radio and uncut bezel. Will try to swing by tomorrow and take a look if you need it still.

Great find

Believe me I would appreciate any help on early parts. The goal is to keep it stock. And i promise to bring it out and let it visit others as well. The early SA parts are getting very hard to find in good shape, Hey any of our Aussie brothers are the replacement door panels from Rare spares top notch or are there better sources you know of.

Holy crap,
Dejavu!!!???!!!Looks like mine when I originally bought it....I believe I have some 79 parts at the house like emissions, thermal reactor, tubes and all that crazy bulky stuff.

As far as the passenger mirror, the original owner told me he ordered it as an option since it didn't come with it.

Mine was a 4 speed, non sunroof, non a/c car.

Unfortunately, my vin is 522,822 10/78 date (I know it by heart) but the hood prop is on the passenger side.
