Cool Dyno next Weekend

So, my local Dyno shop is having a Dyno Day for all us auto-x er's and by grace of the nice discount and a doubter at work (more on that later) I GET TO RUN!!!! yay! so... about that doubter...

All the guys at work always give me crap about my car... most are domestic guys (one drag races his 68 camaro with a big block... yikes) and so in my mentioning about the dyno day i recived two challenges... one guy (Casey) told me he is SO certain my car makes crap for power, that he will pay for my Dyno run... one catch, if i make less than 120 HP, i have to pay him back. Another guy (tommy) is so certain that my car is dirt slow, he wants to race me... loser buys lunch. He drives a stock '88 Nissan Maxima (5spd VG30 sohc V6)

My car is a 1985 RX-7 (don't know what trim level, NOT SE)

12a Streetported
Racing Beat Streetport Exaust
Carter 650 AFB carb (way too big, i get 11MPG)
GSL-SE rearend swap (won't matter on the Dyno, LSD definitly good for the race)
other mods listed in sig.

Should i be worried about either of these? not that this is High Stakes but... i'm still broke.

ive had a blast dyno'ing my 7 , first time it pulled 49 at the rears, tune up was good for a 77 hp follow up run, pulled the fan off yea ! 91 hp , i was stoked now, msd coils timing advanced and pickups closed up 5 degrees then i ditched the aircleaner for my DKS cold air, built 2.25 down pipe , eliminated air pump , still have rats nest , carb stock, pulled 6 runs back to back 4th gear 2500 to the buzzer 117 hp , the way the power peaks at 5400 leads me to believe a header is next cause' it stays at 117 or so all the way to 7k , the car is an absolute blast to drive already, the cou de gras is a eaton m90 that im gonna blow thru, evil evil evil

Depending on what it costs, I'm gonna get mine dyno'd once I've got it running and pretty much tuned. Hopefully I can pull off some good numbers for stock. I figure if you get 101hp stock (is that flywheel or rear wheels? I'm guessing flywheel), I would aim for that to start with. The engine's old, so I'd lose some hp there, but the Air Pump is coming off (after the safety) along with the rat's nest, it's getting an E-fan, the carb's gonna be rebuilt by rx7Carl, and I'm gonna switch to DLIDFIS. I've also got a K&N. With all that, I figure I should be able to make up for any power loss over the years, then save up for exhaust or maybe a rebuild to get some more power.

Eventually I want to aim for 140-ish hp: light street port, full RB exhaust, e-fan, no emissions, rebuilt carb, DLIDFIS and probably a fuel system upgrade. I've already got suspension and brakes upgraded and taken care of, so I'd go for a lightened flywheel/new clutch assembly after that. Maybe some good tires.

That should allow me to kill Civics while looking stock, sounding stock, and pulling every spare hp out of my car.

Stoops - good luck on the Dyno. Hopefully you'll get more than one run and be able to do some tuneing-up

If you wanted to be evil, you could position the fan they put in front of you car to blow exhaust out of the bay right in front of your radiator

if the dynoshop has a blower fan to put in front of the nose of your car then you can take your stock fan off.

just be sure to keep an eye on your fluid temps.

been there, done that!!!!!!!!!!!
