dumb question maybe?

alright, so im doing a rats nest removale on the car today (85GS) and i was going through the tutorial, and here is where my stupid question comes. the AAB#2 mounted on the intake mannifold, does this block off plate require a gasket?

ill also be doing a mechanical secondaries mod on the carb and the AP thingso any more advice would be super duper thanks guys

i don't remember using a blockoff plate on anything for removing the rats nest..

ACV as in air con? can you specify? The tutorial by RX7carl from mazspeed.com is where im getting my info on RNR but the doesnt say if you need a gasket or not. I think that removing the AAB#2 is just for lookls but im not sure...
