Dumb-I know. anybody got a pic of their engine bay?

I'm hooking my heater core up....hopefully, and I know this sounds retarded but I can't remember where the hose on the right from the heater core on the firewall goes to...I know one comes from the lower radiator line- T's and goes in, but does the second (out) one go to the T on the beehive. Been searching and I can't find anything...
go ahead...flame. I deserve it.

autozone closes at six! pleeeeaaassseee.........I searched and am still searching! I know somebody knows! I know, I know- patience is a virtue, and there's always tomorrow right? but tomorrow isn't promised today!
Zach, the hose running from the top of the beehive needs to enter the T. One part of the T feed's the passenger's side heater port. The other side feeds to the radiator, T'ing in at the lower radiator hose on the passenger's side.
The driver's side heater port feeds tubes that snake around to the front lower part of the engine, enter the engine there. Hope this helps, from your silver 85 GSL.

thanks a bunch Ray and Jeezus!
I've got the passenger side inlet covered its just the driver's side that I can't find where it actually plugs into- Jeezus, if you've got a picture of the other side and where that hose goes to that would be awesome!

in the first picture they both look like they're right above your tranny- one goes left- down to the radiator and the other goes.....? I know it goes into the engine somewhere, just don't know where
This is the exact reason I take tons of pictures when I am taking something apart...I know there is no way I'm going to remember how it goes back together. Pictures are priceless.

Start with the driver's side heater port, shown here in Stu's pic:

Then run a hose over the top of engine and down along the fire wall, but attached to the driver's side of the engine. Toward the bottom of the engine, near the fire wall, the hose attaches to a metal pipe that runs along the base of the engine from the fire wall to the front, where it enters on the engine on the driver's side, right near the bottom.
You can see the hard pipe that runs from the fire wall to the front of the engine in this video, toward the end. You need to hook up to the backside (firewall) end of that pipe with your heater hose running to the driver's side heater port.

Ok. I think I figured out why I feel so dumb. On the new motor, the coolant inlet/outlet on the motor is a single "pipe/tube" whatever you want to call it. On my old motor, this piece was a "T" on which one outlet was plugged-presumably for the heater core?
Ray- I think the piece you're referring to is an oil passage? I have nothing on my motor that resembles what you're talking about other than my oil line...
So now that I figured out why I was so baffled, I think I conjured up a solution...now that it's dark. (dammit. what I wouldn't do for a garage....and warm weather.)
But here's the way I think it's supposed to go, correct me if I'm wrong:
Lower radiator hose to hard line, to "T" at the junction from hard line to soft line- in goes the first (passenger side) heater hose.
Second (driver's side) heater core inlet/outlet goes to a new hose to an aftermarket "T" spliced in the hose that was running from the beehive to the rear iron. Problem solved? Sound right to you guys?

I have no clue. Never had a Beehive engine before, but a few engines I have in the garage have the T fitting on the side for 84/85 cars. Car is in the garage, let me know what pictures you need. I'll be on the forums for a bit.
