Driver Window won't roll up...
So i rolled my window down and its always been a little hard to roll down, but this time it won't roll up. The window bends inside the car and won't go upp more than half way. I haven't taken the door pannels off because i just bought the car yesterday, but i thought i'd ask before i did anything. Thanks
Common 1st gen problem. You can usually grab the window and wiggle it up and down to get it to roll back up. You may have to pull the door panel and put it back on track It usually gets off track on the front side , meaning the track closest to the front of the car. You might want to do a search in the 1st gen archives for a procedure to help prevent this in the future.
Mine just go really slow, I tell people its because they're the world's oldest power windows and they believe me. But my car did this when I first go it also.
You might be able to, like others have already said, wiggle the window back and forth as its going up. Or try rolling it down a little and then as its rolling up you just push outwards on it.
Good luck.

Here's a copy of a post I did several months back on how we fixed ours. Hope it helps. Take off the door panels, then...
"we had similar problems on a 83. Neither (manual) window seemed to want to go up right or stay in their tracks. If you're talking about the long vertical channel inside towards the front of each door, they seemed to lose their tracking ability due to age. We removed the lower screw and drilled a new hole about a quarter of an inch (toward the rear) from the original hole and they hold perfectly now. (Obviously, keep the window rolled up when you drill so you don't hit the glass with the drill bit.)"

The roller tracks and gears get gunked up over time and the rubber/felt channels harden and shrink. Remove the door panel, dust shield, clean the metal tracks, rollers and gears with brake cleaner, relube, liberally, with white lithium grease in the spray can. Some people spray the soft channels with silicone lube, I don't.. Be sure to replace the dust shield and make sure it is sealed. I keeps out dust and air leaks, can be cold in the winter without it.
When the windows bind, the rear part of the glass usually goes up faster than the front, cocking the window and binding is worse. When this happens, pull up on the front part of the glass, don't force the crank handle on manual windows, only makes things worse. Instead of moving the front channel runner, replace the soft channel runners with new.
