-Thumbs up- Hands down the best 1st gen drift video ever.

How do you like the engine/trans set-up on your SA? Sounds like an great budget TII set-up that obviously gets the job done.

Also, where did you get Kaaz LSDs? I heard they made them for 1st gens awhile ago and they're no longer available.

Keep up the good work

I, too, am curious about your KAAZ lsd.. I looked into getting one awhile back. Are you using the miata one, or the FC NA one? (Actually, I think they are same..) Any problems with axle engagement?
They are cheap as hell in Japan new. Less than $600.

Good work, btw.. Now..pics?

I bought my Kaaz from Newport exotic cars, Its actually a miata 1.8L diff. Not to bad of a price, was right around 850.00 shipped. I use a gsl-se rearend, and the axles fit fine. Its little tricky getting the third member into housing but works great. I went w/ the 1.5 instead of the full 2way, i think the 2way would be to much for are light cars.

I dont have a digital camera, but i can take some video of the cars sitting still, couple free revs if you want.

One the main keys to having a good drifting first gen is good suspesion adjustablity, also to get some good steering angle w/ stock steering box, you need atleast a 10 degree offset wheel(i know this offset will fit under stock fenders) but a 0 offset would be killer. Oh and a 13bt helps too.

Old Thread, nice video. I have to work so hard to get my 105whp 12a to drift and you make it look so easy, power rules in Drifting. Nice job, keep the vids coming. I have thought that maybe we should start a forum dedicated to RX-7 drifting, any thoughts, it will make the peeps that don't dig drift happy about us not cluttering the other forums with our stuff?

Nice vid btw. While I dont consider drifting a true motorsport, it sure looks like alot of fun. Nice driving skills, nice cars.

I can't even tell I don't have power steering when I drift, but I can sure hear the tires burn! I'm going out tonight, maybe I can bring back some footy. and by the way, thats a hella tight video!!

Thumbs up

Burnin hot vid Bro

I don't think you need power steering at all with DRift's ?????
I remember my 1st drifting experience..............Yrs ago when I first got my rx
Sticky tires zr1's, Good power and initial slide, then the wheels got traction....Result a neck brakin jerk in the oppsoite direction. Lots of power to start the car sideways but i wasn't expecting the outcome..
To this day the Girl that was in the passenger seat loves the car and the One who was rolling around in the Hatch ...........still hates it!!!!! ooopps.. Turbo rear wheel drive, male testosterone and a little of the good Juice make for some Pooor judgement!!!

The video was not badly taken almost i did not like seeing guys butts much. I did notice also that on the later half of the video. When you were doing the large figure 8s, your front seem a bit bouncy to me. Was the road bump or was it the suspension ?

Nice vid. Get more angle and a bit more power

Havent checked in a while. Thanks for the compliments!! Its been about 8months from that vid. The black sa is gone to rx7 heaven. But yeah it was a little bouncy in the front. My shocks where completey blown out. If you watch you can see the wheel just about come off the ground.

On the offset, If you run mad front camber then u can get away w/ 0-10 offset wheels. this will put the wheels farther away from the frame allowing the wheels turn more.

should have some new vids up next week

**** yeah man! I'm all for ya...infact I saved the vid to my comp and I watch it everyday to get me going, cause your right no one is doing it so it's hard to find vids...screw the other guys...it was bad *** and I'm basically doing the exact same thing to mine...it's grey like yours and I just got some white 14x6 bbs style rims, I'd like to talk more when you can cause I'm the rx7 nut you were talking about!
