mmm... boring. too much distant footage, post production could use better editing/cutting and music is too loud, plus it's the wrong choice of music for the activity, IMHO.

The video would have been better if one, there was no music so I can hear the cars, or the music was very soft or the music was more smooth rather than abrupt and fast. the music genre chosen doesn't mesh well with the smooth and precise driver input required to drift.

I was going to say you were out of line with all of what you said, but then I saw the vid and agree 100%. Drifting is not my thing, but nothing in the clip seemed to go together. I love FB's but I had to cut the vid short.

I never made the video w/ the intention to showoff my my editing skills, I don't claim to be all that good at. I am sorry i can't afford the best software, or the poeple ask to video us arnt hollywood professionals. The video was to show some other RX7 nuts what can be done w/ are 1st gen cars. What everyone said was to hard, not the right kinda car. Unforuntlly some thought it was more about the quilty of editiing and music. Not the quilty of a beautiful car, or the person driving it. Its sad, i would expected these kinda of responses from a drifting forum not from people that say they are die-hard RX7 nuts.

Hey Driftlanta is all good man, I am a Audio and Video Producer and I know exacly that you was just showing us what a First Gen can do. I am also not sure why peoples was expecting a Super video when all that it matters is what this drivers can do in action with first gens. I though the video was great. Please show us more Driftlanta when you have the chance, I would be looking forward to your vids. Peace!

Angel,

The best drifts are when the two are following. and there is nothing wrong with the song or the editing the song does a good job covering the wheel screech which i wouldnt want to listen to that for 5 mins

I cant believe ANYONE would complain about the video "quality", obviously the man just wanted some footage of his ride drifting. Bunch of bad seeds in a good forum. Opinions are great but the guy never said "What do you think of my video taping skills". Dang.

Kick *** video! Keep it up!

I agree a different choice of music would have been better, but its an awsome video. Nice to see some good videos of some FB's drifting. They do a pretty good job at it. So whats under the hood?

That was the best SA/FB drift video I've seen. You mentioned something about it being turboed, I was wondering what kind of engine/suspension setup you had.

Thanks for all compliments, glad people enjoyed it.We should have some new footage up by the end of the month.
Both the FB and SA run ground control coilovers camber caster plates. Both are running a kaaz 1.5 lsd, w/ mazda comp 4.44 gears. Full cage from Kirk Racing.
My SA has a 89' Tll engine w/ a 8lb flywheel act clutch, n/a trans. Running microtech fuel only computer w/ a 12a turbo dist. I am currently putting 230whp and 200lbs to the wheels on 8lbs.
The FB also has 89' block but has gsl-se rotors, 9lb flywheel, act clutch, Tll trans. Motec ecm. This setup was good for 340whp at 12lbs, 290lbs. That car is damn carzy to drive, you get tunnel vision everything is moving so fast.

watched the video and i loved it. i have always heard a first gen rx7 couldnt drift good, heck even tarzan said it this year at the Formula D drift competition in Atlanta. but you sure do prove him wrong. i think both cars did a great job but in my opinion the SA was bringing it a little harder. dont listen to what anyone says about the video quality sucking or whatever, theyre to ignorant to realize you werent trying to produce a masterpiece, just something to share with the rx7 community. who knows, after i get my SA a little closer to the way i want it i might have to come to Atlanta and drift it up there a little bit.

do you know who the guy was who wrecked their 1st gen trying to drift at the formula D show? i didnt get to go but all my friends told me about it

You probably talking about my SA, but it wasn't wrecked at FD. I hit a try the night before at 2am. I pushed my drivers front frame rail about 6inches in and 2inches up. We towed it home stole some parts of my 85 gsl. Pulled the frame out w/ a pole and a chain. Back on the road at 5am. I actually did pretty well w/ the frame like it is.
those cars need more ANGLE!!!!
I agree w/ you. We are always at the lock w/ them. We have about 40 degrees of angle, hopefully by the end of the month it should around 45. We plan to get atleast 50 out them by the end of the season. The car is such a short wheel base you really need alot of steering angle to look as sideways as a 240 or other longer wheel base car.
i think both cars did a great job but in my opinion the SA was bringing it a little harder
We both started drifting at the same time together. I feel we are both at the same level. The FB made it to top 32 at road atlanta and onto the G4tv program.
I would love to see some more of you guys out there tearing it up in your 1st gen's. We have been doing pretty good this year for events in atlanta area. So anyone from the southeast should come over to the next event and try it out.

I'm pretty sure I saw you guys at The D1 Competition on TV. The Formula D show did an interview one of you guys and your Rx7. If I'm wrong just tell me I'm retarded and go on.

EDIT: Sorry just saw where you already said that you wre on G4TV at road atlanta.
