DRIFT steering mod

hey guys i have a 82 SA with a carby 13b and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with modding steering for extra lock? (modding knuckle, steering rack spacers ect)

any feedback about the DO'S and DONTS would be appreciated

Ok, first correction you don't have an SA or its not an 82, one or the other. LOL

Don't drift, thats my recommendation.

Yeah it's in Australia, and I didn't ask whether I should drift it or not.

If you do plan to drift the factory steering actually does it surprisingly well. Go aftermarket (RB or Whitelines) rear sway bar, and keep the factory front. Youll find it extremely tail happy, and pretty easy to control if you arent running really sticky tires and it isnt too low.

im running an ST rear sway and love it! just another option

Cheers for the feedback mate 👍🏻 is it worth getting a front strut or sway bar? It will have coilovers soon

Pretty much any of the aftermarket struts work pretty well EXCEPT the KYB's. They suck. Avoid them.

I am looking at modifying the knuckle on my 85 for more steering angle. I plan on keeping the ackerman angle but moving it in .5" (12mm) and see where that gets me.
