draw through or blow through

draw through or blow through

everytime someone asked a question about boost pressure its always u need an intercoller or something like that but i have a draw through carb setup and when i run for a long time ive gotton ice on my intake so does draw through cool the air better the blow though.

ewww, draw-through is dirty!

yes you can get ice BEFORE the turbo but after the turbocharger you will get lots of HOT air, feel your intake pipe after the turbocharger after you've gone for a full-throttle run!

moral of the story: I dunno, but I still don't like draw-through.

With blow through, one of the easiest ways is to just have a 'box' around the carburator that gets pressurized. That way you dont risk blowing up the seals on the carburator itself.

While I dont know how youd do that on a rotary, for a v8 if the intake is just on top between the two cylinder banks its not that hard. Talk to a fab guy, I guess :P

P.S. - if youre only going with 6 psi or less I think its safe to blumb straight into the carb instead of building a box around it.
