How were you able to match the SEM paint to your interior color? I have gray interior in my SE, have a painter that could match the color but would prefer to do this myself. Question: are you able to use this same paint on the interior panels in the rear of the car?
Concerning the SEM, I don't have a lot of experience with it but so far what I've done (a steering wheel button, which is vinyl) and these cups (plastic) it seems to do a great job.
Here's the steering wheel, only the vinyl horn button was painted, the plastic rim part is very close to the original maroon color because it was a leather covered wheel that I just removed the leather from, so you can see it's a close match:
I'm planning to do the whole interior of my 83 GSL with it, including the hatch area, the black vinyl replacement dash and all the faded maroon plastic and vinyl pieces (but not the leather inserts in the door panels or the leather seats).
This is a premium paint, about $16 a can at discountauto, so it better be good!
So far I can say that it seems durable, dries quickly, looks great and is an excellent color match for the maroon, at least.
For the gray interior you will either have to do some research (I'm sure someone has figured it out) or do a bit of trial and error to get the best SEM color match.
The sem interior paint works great for the interior panels.I work at a body shop, and we have a rep from sem come in once in a while ,and according to him ,you can even use it on carpet and fabric. He gave me a whole interior package as a sample,I just haven't had a chance to use it yet.

Ahhh! I thought you were actually molding these. 3d printer makes more sense. My experience w a 3d printer is strictly for prototyping a hands on rendition for validation of designs. Generally the material is very brittle. Eduardo, what polymer is the printer laying down?

Actually, I 3d print the headlight bushings. The cups I am casting in a mold. There was a disconnect in rays comment and I didn't notice he had put printing.

Proof is in the putting..very satisfied. I needed a slight very dark gray but as you can see the black is close enough to forego trying to match it with SME paint. These are obviously molded from an actual part. Even the original serial numbers match underneath. That, is very cool. Impressed.
