Talking Done....3rd gen 13bTT in 1st gen

I am new to the post but I have to tell somebody...my 2 month project is finally running I used the stock turbos, except non-seq. no emisions. stock computer...The only problem I see so far is that it is over boosting to 15 lbs...easy fix...but other than that it is F!*king awesome.

Congrats man! Let see some pics. Be careful of the boost spikes. The engine isn't going to last very long.

Yea I'm using the stock 88 T2 ECU. This works good if you only want HP a little more than stock HP. I'm not sure what the limit is but I'm feel I can go to 220 HP OK on the stock ECU.

Was that an RE or an REW you put in? I should be able to tell from the pics, but I haven't had much sleep lately.

Nice work

Rex4life:
The TII ecu can hold around 280hp with a little help...Super AFC, Walbro fuelpump, and 720cc secondarys should do the trick.

Kevin:
Stock wiring harness...Man that thing is begging for a PowerFC. Great work.....Is it faster then the SE engine with 120 shot?

Last night when it was putting out a unsafe 15lbs....it was fuc*ing unreal.....and as soon as I find a powerfc....for a good price....it is getting done

REW. My friend's GSL-SE has one in it too, but it was never finished. He's decided to do a 20B in it instead so the REW is coming out next month.

If it was an RE it wouldn't say "3rd gen 13bTT" in the thread title now would it?

~~NOOB QUESTION~~

What is the diffrece between an 13B, 13BRE, 13BREW, blah blah blah?
13B -generic term that goes for any of the 1.3L rotary engines.
13BT - the turbocharged 13B that was put in the second gen RX-7s, came in two flavors S4(86-88) with 182 Hp, and S5 (89-91) with 202 Hp.
13B-RE - the sequential twin turbo engine put in the cosmo (only found over seas) don't recal the hp numbers but around 235 Hp with lots of low-end torque
13B-REW - the sequential twin turbo engine put in the 3rd gen RX-7 came with 255 Hp.

Essentially the RE and REW are almost identical except the cosmo has smaller turbos, and smaller exaust ports but larger intake ports, and longer intake runners. Basically it was designed to power a luxury car, so low end torque and quick spooling turbos were a must.
