Does this sleeve come off?

My new bushing kit has an insert for the Watts linkage, so I'm assuming this comes off, but when I look at it up close, it sure as **** doesn't look like it. Anybody?

I'm not quite shure what you mean.

The sleve that comes with that part of the watts link goes in the bushing, then slides on to that piece.

What am I missing?

The sleeve that came with the bushing set won't fit over that, and if I take out the sleeve from the bushing set, there's too much room inside the bushing. Here, I circled the thing I'm talking about.

But when I look at it, it sure looks like it's welded on there.

the piece you have circled is welded to the rear axle assembly, it does not come off.

something isn't right then, the part in that pic is what the sleeve should slide over, if it doesn't fit then the sleeve must be incorrect. Is the bushing itself the right size for the watts link or did you get the wrong kit somehow....

No, everything else fit fine. Maybe I just need to lube up the new sleeve and put it on with a hammer.

The sleeve should slide on easily, no hammering, did you save the old one?

Can you mic the inside of the sleeve and the ouside of the shaft? How much difference is there? The sleeve needs to rotate on the shaft, if the bushing rotates on the sleeve, it won't last long.

If there is a tiny difference between the 2, see if you can sand it out.
