I'm not sure it means you are loved...I wonder if it means he doesn't like you I've chatted with someone that was the mod for a regional forum and that person says it was a royal pain. But then I would bet a tech section wouldn't be nearly so bad.

I think we could use another mod. I would be happy to help. The other guys listed would also do a great job. We are lucky because it seems that 1st gen tech requires less moderation than the other sections. We must just be cool. Anyway, I think we need at least one more mod to help carry the load.

Well true Ive been MIA, sorry all. Things have just been too crazy with the house projects and building the shop. It's starting to finally wind down so I'll be around more often. However if you feel that we're under moderated I can try and start the wheels in motion. For the most part you are a great bunch and dont need babysitting. Thats my $0.02. So other than the spam threads, why else do we need another mod?

I vote Trochoid. Personally I think he is an enourmous benefit to this section of the forum, and I've seen him already stick up and say things when they need to be said dealing with diplomacy issues. If I had to pick anyone for the position of mod, it would be him.

I voted yes on the poll, but to be honest i'm on the fence about this. Carl is right, especially compared to the other secions on here, we stay pretty tame and quiet. And yes its true that the other thread where to loser was trying to get someone to hack his ex gf's comp did get a bit out of hand, I'm not sure if we need another moderator just to control those few outbreaks. Having said that, if I were to want another mod it would probalby be Trochoid, nothing personal to the others who are interested, I just seem to see him post a lot and he seems like he'd do a good job.

 

Yeah, I was just kidding about the p0rn thing. I had been in class all day so when I finally get out. I have alot of jokes, and sarcastic comments I have built up.

 

If you guys decide to add a mod, I vote for Trochoid. he has the experience, and knowledge, diplomacy is just another word for management.

Me, I think Carl, and Jon do a great job, generally speaking we don't have much crap flying in here, but that last thread was a doozy !

I think the thought behind getting another mod, was not that Jon & Carl werent doing thier jobs, but that way the chances of a mod being online when one is needed will be greater.

Somehow, I missed this thread last night. Musta been too tired after R&R the intake on my car, and pulling the engine on a freinds SA......
I have thought that an additional mod in this section could come in handy a few times. Mostly because there have been a few times that both jon and carl were MIA for close to a week. I understand they have other obligations to keep, and that real life can interfere with forum life.
I feel they both do a great job, and have never done anything incorrectly in my mind. The only downside to the 2, is real life has kept them busy.
There have been a few names mentioned, including mine, that have shown to have a fair amount of knowledge, and usually take the time to actually answer questions with more than just a "Search NOOB", even if the answer has been given 50,000 times before.
It doesn't take much effort to actually type a few words to give a short and consise answer, then add that a simple search would reveal the answer.
Sometimes, HOW you say something is as important as WHAT you say. Knowledge minus tact makes a person look like a tool.

 

I was made moderator of the S.E. Section not too long ago.

I recently asked in the Admin section for me to be a third moderator here, in the 1st Gen section. Vipernicus does a great job, but Rx7Carl has more important things to tend to lately.

My real life position allows me to monitor the forum almost all day long.
