I totally agree with having another MOD here. Lately there've been some stupid posts and some nonsense Polls on this thread.

Hey Blair, this wasnt meant as a direct slander toward you or any other mods... I know everyone has a life, but considering the other mod is hardly ever around, then I assumed having 3 total wouldnt be a bad idea... No offense mr. blair

Actually, I'm around at some point everyday. Although lately, I must admit, it has been more difficult (I'm actually in the process of moving from Ohio to North Carolina -- new job and all, so pretty excited about it).

Anyway, you are quite correct, none of us have the time to check every thread, every day, therefore I try to usually hit the ones that seem the most active. I also usually try to check different threads on different days, but I'm sure some have slipped through. By and large, however, I must say this section of the forum needs little moderation usually.

With that in mind, however, help is always welcome. Actually, everybody can help. If you notice a thread getting way off track or out of control, there is a little button at the bottom of each post that says "report". If you hit that and fill out the fields, it will send an email to Blair and myself about the thread. Please keep in mind though that moderation is still at the discretion of the moderator, even if the thread/post gets reported.

This has been a public service anouncement

What we need are people to stick to the original question instead of trying to put their own in someone elses post. Let them post their own.

That is exactly on the money. Every time we see that happen, don't answer the poster, just tell him/her to start a new thread and ignore everything but what the actual thread is supposed to be covering...funny how the obvious sometimes escapes us...again, I'll say we don't really need more moderators, but it would be nice if they did exhibit more "post *****" behavior...I hate the thought of invisible hands behind the scenes watching everything and affecting outcomes or information without ever being known...secret clubs and societies are the dearth of democratic and free speech ideas...very un-American and all

Trust me, it's not a conspiracy or anything . To be honest, most of the time I just don't have anything to say, therefore I don't post. Perhaps once I move to NC I will shake off my Ohioan ways and become more talkative

At any rate, I'll try to monitor things a bit more closely here and split posts that go off topic into a different thread (as such, bear with me if some posts suddenly disappear, I tried to split a thread the other day and I somehow lost the post I was trying to split out).
