Same style as the Group C kit but not so wide.

Wish I could help, but...

This car looks like it came out of a South African design factory! Super sweet.

Here is an article on it.

https://drivetribe.com/p/mark-hawwas...RCqiJL0C0y8hdg

from the article: "Group C bodykit similar to that used on the now legendary Allan Moffat car raced in Australia in-period."

Pretty sure its not a group C kit. Group C had an integrated flare and front spoiler arrangement, and the flares looked different. I dare say this isnt a "kit" at all but a hodge-podge one-off made up of different pieces from different cars. The Clay Smith Cams sticker was a nice touch lol.

That is the kit mazda fitted to new rx7s in Australia [they had to sell 500 of them ] to get homologation for the rx7 to race. Once they did that they were allowed to fit a modified versions [wider flairs , taller rear spoiler and different front bar come spoiler with larger splitter ]

Wow, great bit of homologation trivia!

Do you know if anyone makes copies?

Yep. You have to search through the site a little (small company) but they have fiberglass hoods, fenders, door skins, flares , spoilers and bumper covers for our SA/FB's

Shippings gonna be a bitch though.

Best bet will be to get your long-distance phone out in the small hours of the morning and try and give him a call unless he's got email. Ive been over there and bought stuff off him years ago. He's a real nice guy and everything but he's a tradesman, not a businessman. He has more stuff hanging up in stock that what is on his website, all sorts of bits and pieces depending on how many batches he made of whatever over the years. Its a bit of a lucky dip. Hopefully he still has the moulds of the kit you want. You will need to get hold of him and exchange photos with him.

Made contact lads, thanks!

Now trying to determine if the arches he has described as Group C are actually the earlier, narrower Group 2 arches which is what I need.

OK, the EZ glass arches are the larger circuit racing type, not the earlier group 2 type so still looking.

The silver car is a S2 or 3.... wonder if the guards work with the side molding still on?

I've been told John Perkins in Australia sells them with the mounting divots. +61 418 324 700.

E-bay has them from a different source without the divots. https://www.ebay.com/itm/MAZDA-RX7-S...E/163583103634

If you're building a group 2 historic race or rally car please PM me so we can share resources.
