Do you think this cat-back will be too loud?

Well..I found this on Ebay...and i mean..200 bucks for a full turbo catback with a fake high flow racing cat?

First of all, putting reliability and namebrands aside...If i got the same N1 Greddy cat back for $600, how many presilencers would it take to keep this thing from waking up the entire city? And...would it be too hard to fabricate it on my SA? AND, would it look ugly in your opinions? I'd like to hear a few...I think it might look good if done right (kind of like Supras and Skylines) Welp...just a thought...here's the link to the Cat-back...

Hence why I asked if I can fabricate it to fit a SA? Can I?

You can fabricate anything to fit a SA. The only usable things are the muffler, midpipe and some piping.

yeah, your better off just getting a rear muffler and a glasspack and fabbing the rest
rather than fubaring a full turbo back exhaust for an fc...

keep in mind that the turbo kills ALOT of the tinnyness in the exhaust and quite a bit of the total noise too.

yeah that looks hot but i think that youll be better off just getting a muffler and taking your car to a muffler shop. Itll be loud but not too loud. I have a bridgeport so i dont even know how loud loud is anymore. I hear it everyday! hahaha

I think you're better off with a Frankensystem. Pick up the muffler and cat/presilencer of your choice and have pipe made for it. It'll save time and money.

It would look pretty nice though.

A Franken system, huh? So...the turbocharged engine will reduce some of the total noise coming from the muffler tip, and the presilencer will do the final effects, to make it even quieter, am I correct?

I DO think this system would look good if done right, though. Can you guys give me a picture of what a Frankensystem looks like?

Thanks

on a t2 engined 1st gen you could use the down pipe, premuffler, and posibly mid pipe. the rear pipe and muffler is no go part and if you could fab it on it is way loud. the turbo will not reduce the sound as much as you think. I have 2 dynomax bullets one long and one short on my exhuast plus rear mufflers and it is still loud.

What about that racing beat exhaust system? Someone told me here that all you gotta do is remove the presilencer with a pipe and it should be all good.

Can you say "EAR DRUM SPLATTER"? I once spent a whole lot of money at a custom exhaust shop for a duel system for my SP 7. 1st they used the RB header I had but cut it to attach their stuff. 2 turbo mufflers back to 2 glass packs. It was ear splitting on excelleration. So they replaced glass packs w/ 2 more turbo mufflers. EAR SPLITTING. I junked the thing & went RB duel.

Geez....maybe you're right...I think I should go with something more sound appealing. I don't want to go deaf afterall...
