go for it.

No big deal, took me 2 hours, and cost me 25 bucks, make sure you buy good thick pipe, or else it'll sound too tinny. Taking off the cats are the way to go, especially when you can't afford a header and and all the proper exhaust systems

I just ordered one from racing beat. It costs $110. You can also remove and block off the ACV and airpump.

i have the racing beat midpipe, shortened by about 8 inches. it's a sturdy pipe, but if you can find one used, that'd be your best bet i think.

Hmm..

Well, what if your car already HAS no cats? Can they install a straight pipe, if you bring your car in.......just the header....no other exhaust?

Thats how my car is now. The cats clogged enough to explode, and destroy the midpipe section of my exhaust.

I know they cant REMOVE the cats.....but can they install a straight pipe, if there already IS no cats there?

dude, NOPE. i was running just a racing beat header even without the collector. HEY TOTALLY ******* LOUD OMFG INSANITY *** NOISE!!!!!! buti couldnt find a shop within 30 miles that would do it. so i finally went to a bum *** shop that was basically desperate for business and he did it. i have straight 2.25 piping to a TSUDO muffler. cost me 70 bucks. it's still pretty loud, sounds nice, and i gained around 30 hp to the wheels. just call around first and be straight up with the people workin the shop. alot of times you can find a guy that works there wanting to make a couple bucks on the side.
