Do 1st Gens have any parts availablity problems?

I recently bought two 1985 GSL-SE's. Both manuals. One has 155K, other 174K. They have normal wear and tear. I'll need to figure out the air conditioning and vent system but nothing there's nothing major wrong with the lower mileage one. Are there any vital parts that are hard or impossible to get? I really enjoying driving them.

Thanks,
Robert

I've never had any problems finding parts. Like FB II said, some of them haven't been shiny new parts, but there are a lot of good used and remanufactured parts.

It's nearly impossible to find a bronze tint windshield. Various NOS interior parts in certain colors can be hard to find, and/or are very expensive.

Pats for these cars are no harder to find than parts for other 20+-year-old cars, ie: they're out there, but not in the same quantities as they used to be. Some of the places to shop for 1st gen parts are:

Mazda
Victoria British
Mazdatrix
Racing Beat

There are also several engine rebuilders in North America as well. Best to stay plugged in to this site for more specific info on where to buy in your area.
