DLIDFIS & my tach

one more question if i put in a DLIDFIS will my tach still work??? or would i have to put my old autometer one from my old car?? if it will work where would i hook it up? will i need a tach adapter thinggy from MSD?? and yes i used the search

'79 and '80 have the tach off of the leading coil because the trailing coil is shut off some of the time, in order to keep the thermal reactor fed with unburned HC's.
'81-later don't use thermal reactors, so Mazda switched the tach signal to the trailing coil.

Anyway, if one of the Leading ignitors ever died, it would feel like it's running on one rotor. Thus no need to hook the tach to the Leading side. Also, if a Leading ignitor dies and you happened to have kept your old coil to cap wire, you could run L and T through your cap just like stock and never be stranded.
