DLIDFIS Help!

So i have decided to do the Dual Leading Ignitor Direct Fire Ignition System conversion to my rx7 i own a 1984 gls-SE so its not carburated, i allredy read most of the threads about DLIDFIS and have an idea of how to do it. but i need help to figure out what some of the parts are, and where i can get them. I want to do this as soon as possible so i can have my car running to it best condition. i alredy have a stage 2 kevelar (or what eva that material is called) clutch kit ordered 10.3mm spark plug wires comming too, Spark plugs, a mass airflow adapter for cone type filter, All Royal Purple fluids, (coolant, gear oil for tranny and diff and motor oil) and ground straps. and i want to change all of this at the same time so i dont have to do dubble the work. so any help would be appreciated thank.

Any specific questions?

I recently converted my '83 to DLIDFIS, and will be happy to answer any questions that I can.

I bought 2 new MSD Blaster coils, coil mounting brackets, 2 HEI igniters, 12 volt relay, fuse, and wire from Advance Auto. The metal plate I used to mount the stuff to the wheel well came from Lowes hardware.

Here's a link to my install pics. Jeff20B has a great wiring diagram. Search on "HEI igniters" and you can get the thread on converting to those if you want to use them ($15) rather than J109's ($150 new).

Hey did u feel a diferece after the installation? cuz im doing this for performance sinece i want my car to be as fast as possible just n/a no force induction for the moment. but with this and the other mods that im thinking of doing I should be feeling a difference! the other thing is that my 5th and 6th ports are not open i removed the back pressure hose from the cat so i could install straight pipes. and i recently ran my friends integra modded intake exaust and stage 2 clutch wit jdm b18 trany and he pulled on me by 1 1/2 to 2 car lenghts so im thinking ill be able to pull on him with my ports opening (still tring to find a way to keep them open! ) and the mods that im planing on doing.
thanks

Use the air pump to blow them open, hook up a hose and a solenoid valve that opens at the RPM you want them to open at (then you can feel like an FD owner with your crazy hoses), or just use a small bleeder valve that you can adjust so you can get the right amount of pressure at the right RPM.

DLIDFIS makes for easier starting and higher revving. Seat-of-pants dyno says maybe a couple of HP more... Also, is more reliable than 24-year-old compoments that were replaced.

Sounds like your exhaust needs more work than your ignition. The exhaust should always be done first.

If you have an open exhaust you won't build enough backpressure to open the ports whether you hook up plumbing from it or not.

You can wire them open sure, but this will kill your low end and make drivability worse... people still do it though. It's easier.
