I have a 79' with a 12a and weber carb. I was wondering what the best electronic distributor there is for this setup and where do I get it??
Thanks for any help,
Dave

Any 81-85 distributor from a 12A powered RX-7 will do the job. Make sure the ignitors are tested good and buy a couple of spares incase you get a burnout. The wireing job is very simple. The tutorial at http://www.mazspeed.com/ignitionswap.htm has very good directions.

The swap took myself and my friend about an hour and a half. You probably won't notice too much of a difference, but you'll never have to adjust the dwell again.

Good luck and welcome to the community

You'll also need to swap the coils to the transistor type.
