Question Rear End Differential

The pin thats located about 2 o clock on the pumpkin is the thing thats holds the watts links right???

Well that pin goes into circle thing that looks like the end part of the rear lower control arm with a rubber bushing... while dropping the rear end that rummer peice broke about 5% of it....my question is it it safe to put it back together with that little peice broken off????even though its broken off i can still put it back and it stays in place.... it broke off like...picture a soda can...then pretend you pop the top but when you push back the tab you push it back all the way to where the can starts ripping all the way back till about half way down the can....can you see it??? oh in a triangular shape where the bottom is the point of the triangle???see it????
