Question Disk Brakes

Trying to change my disk brakes om my 84 GSL, The manual says to remove some little clips I see two on the front, I tried pulling them but they won't come out. So my question is how hard is it to get these things out.

Thanks, Kirk

That confused me too, just ignore it. Just unbolt the caliper and pull it up out of hte way, then you can just pull the pads out clips and all. Just don't lose those clips and be sure to put them back in teh right spot.

No, there are 2 clips per pad that go inbetween it and the caliper bracket, its to keep it from binding.

Yea it is, the whole braking system on our cars is incredibly simple, changing rotors etc all goes incredibly fast and smoothly.

I like how the caliper pivots on the top bolt. It makes the installation of brake pads so easy! My old car had two bolts going through the caliper AND the brake pad...

Yea it does. The only thing thats kinda a pain when doing a full brake job (with new rotors) is that to get the caliper bracket off you really need a off set head wrench to get at the bottom bolt or you'll round it off (gee, how did i find that out?) other than that its the easiest job in the world.
