Direct fire ignition questions

Ok I ran my direct fire ignition with a msd 6400 and two accel super coils and all new accel 8.8 wires. Question is I read to use the 6a but my buddy had the 6400 laying around so I ran that. I've been reading an says the 6400 is a 4/6 cylinder boxes and they have a weak spark after 3000 rpm and only fire for 10 degrees of crank rotation where the others fire 30 degrees and have a high spark all the way threw the power band.
I'm thinking I need to run a different box because it runs good and all but seems to pull harder in the lower rpms than the high r's. And in a rotary powered car seems wrong. Just don't seam to pull in high rpm. And carb is all rebuilt with mechanical secondaries just a day ago so it's not a fuel issue. Also brand new Ngk plugs.

I'm not clear on what changes you made. Since it starts out saying the 6400 and accel coils and ends up with just the 6200 (6400?), did you get rid of the accel coils? I'm pretty interested as I'm just about to try ignition upgrades and this could be really helpful if you can get me past my limited comprehension abilities.

He's feeding the coils with the msd 6200. It takes the place of the leading ignitor.

I just took the 6400 box out and switched it with a 6200. Still using the accel coils. They where not the issue. It was the crappy 6400 box.
The direct fire upgrade was actually very simple to do. If you have any questions pm me and I'll help ya out.i can even make ya a drawing. Made a very noticeable power gain. I also gaped my plugs to .060" to throw a bigger spark. I've read u can fiddle with the timing a bit also but I don't wanna screw it up lol.

Can you post the Code of the coils.
They show three different coils and codes on the Accel site. If it's working for you would like to know which coil you are using.

Do a search using DFIS, theres a ton of threads that talk about all kinds of implementations for
doing this on a rotary. I prefer my writeup on TFIDFIS but they all pretty much work the same.
