Dimming of all lights!

When i hit the brakes the lights dim, when i hit the hazards or the turn signal the lights dim with the beat. Maybe related last alternator only lasted 3 months.

What year RX7?

The 79 SA uses an external regulator.

If you are using the factory alternator then yes adjust the air gap on the regulator.

Run a ground wire from the negative battery post to the frame. Should fix it.

Your ground wire should go

Your ground wire should go from the battery, make a temporary stop at the frame and continue on to one of the starter bolts. The battery is connected to the engine but the grounds for all the electricals are connected to the frame so there has to be a connection to link them all and not lose anything in the process.

Plus, the stock alternator isn't all that great shakes and I've had more than one rebuilt one die soon after installation.

I'm going to put a GM 2 wire one on my car soon.
