Dimmer Switch Wiring

So I recently installed a new heater core into my 84 GS. Once I reinstalled the dash the backlight for my guages stopped working. I traced the problem to my dimmer switch. So I'm installing a 2 way switch to replace the dimmer switch. Does anyone know the wiring scheme, as in which one is power/ground/neutral? There's a black, red w/blue stripe and red w/green stripe wire.

Red/green is 12v from combo switch, Red/blue goes to dash lights, Black is ground of course. Did you plug the male and female barrel connectors in the center console together? The female is Blue/red and the male is Black. They are connections for the auto tranny selector illumination light. Plugging them together is the most common cause for dimmer failure. They should be unconnected on a manual car.
