different sized o rings for beehive oil cooler?

i have 3 beehive oil coolers here. the two of them i am not using have the same sized o rings. the third beehive is currently installed in my car. i can't remove it easially because the hard line bolt is not budging, but i have found that i can still get my fingers under it with it unbolted and pried up a little, and while putting the new o rings on, i could only get the rear one on (the one closest to the motor). it seems the front one uses a smaller o ring, i can physically feel that the hole, and ridge for the o ring to sit is smaller than the other one...i checked with mazda, and they told me that the o-rings are the same size.

its too bad i can't break the hard line loose or i'd take it right off, but for now, i've picked up a few smaller o=rings, and hopefully one of them is gunnay fit.

anyways, anyone know if some oil coolers have 2 different sized o rings? i just wanna make sure im not making a misjudgement here. i tried and tried and tried to slip that o ring in there, and it just wasn't happening. maybe its an older model or something.

should have mentioned that i only asked the mazda dealer about 1985 models, i didn't ask if earlier models require 2 different sized o rings. but isn't the beehive only on the 84, 85? or does the 83 have it too???

Of the 83-85 engines I have torn down, I have not noticed a difference in o-rings. I did find one that had hard white plastic ones instead of rubber ones though. The plastic ones were stuck quite tight to one side or the other.

They're all supposed to be the same size.
