diff W/ or W/O sunroof

why is the price on cars w/O sunroofs a little highter that the one's with.
I have an 80 rx7 W/O a sunroof(solid roof) and it seams everyone wants it WHY ?

its much lighter!!! 100 pounds!! theres no renforcement in the non sunroof models , perfect for racing!

Yea in most forms of racing thay make you weld the top shut. But you still have the extera bracing... The non sunroof car has none of the bracing..... much lighter
