Unhappy R.i.p

I knew it would happen sooner or later... Some things are just too good to last for ever... My oil rings have been going for a while... Car started burning ALLOT of oil I guess I will have to put my 76 in there for the mean time... I would like to rebuild this block but I am afraid its toast... from what you guys have been telling me about my habits of revving the **** out of my motor I am afraid that my housings are shot... Here are some q's I do have... how do I identify rotor types??? Year to year and compression??? I know the rotors that are in my 74 block are not stock... but I didn’t do the rebuild on it... I might take those out and put them in my 76 if my motor turns out to be toast... this shure puts a wrench in my plans to do a 12a turbo setup...

Twinkel Twinkel little 7 sorry I put you into heaven…. Revving past hondas so hi… Like turbine plane in the sky… twinkel twinkle little guy… sorry I have to say BYE BYE

mazdatrix.com has a rotor year/compression/weight chart that should help out.

sorry to see another rotary go but alas, the car will live on! next time put a 85psi oil pressure regulator and a 17.5mm oil pump in there before revving the **** outta it!

Sorry to hear of your loss. A momment of silence, please. I am not sure about any markings used to identify different rotors. Is it 12A or 13B? I don't remember. If it is 12A, then I beleive that all of the rotors are about the same weight and compression, unless you get get your hands on some turbo 12A rotors. If it is 13b then you should probably go for some 2nd gen TII rotors( ~2 lbs lighter than SE rotors, lower compression). This would be a good choice if you are planning to run boost. Just make sure that you get the right couterweights to match the rotors. I just got some SE housings from atkins. The price was a little high, but they were in excellent shape. I hope that everthing works out for you. You may take this opportunity to clearance the rotor, get a high performance oil pump, get engine balanced, etc.. so that you will not have problems revving in the future.
