My 85 rx7 will only start with the manual choke pulled and will not idle without it.
Once the engine warms up and the throttle automatically shuts off, the engine dies.

Several years ago the same thing happened and I replaced something but dont remember what it was.

sounds like its your air controll valve same thng happened to me the hose kept popping off so i had to put a small clamp on it.

 

inspect the rats nest something may not be connected
