dieing problem

ok so, ill be driving my carand under full throttle it will do fine but its when i come to a stop that it will die, no idle just dies, i have a weber siddraft set up, 45dcoe jets are f 11, 220, with a 300 main, i dont know if its a fuel promblem or what so help would be great thanks, mods: rb header and exhaust holley blue, weber side draft, msd ign, clutch and flywheel

sounds to me like it may be a vacuum leak. raise the rpm just to get it to idle so that you can find where the leak is by spraying some carb cleaner.

Doesn't the shutter valve control the rpm's when they come down? I had a similar problem & thought it was a vaccuum leak. Couldn't find a vaccuum leak.. replaced the shutter valve & fixed the problem.

Good tip. I'll bet that's not in the Weber manual.

ok wheres the shutter valve located? i looked for vaccum leaks all day yesterday and didnt fiand anything, went through lik 3 cans of choke cleaner lol

Would a Weber setup even still have a shutter valve?

Wouldn't it have gone away with the manifold swap?

ok so heres the deal theres a valve on the intake side of the carb, if i hold it in the middle it will idle but idle high, and it runs like total **** if i drive when its open

ok so i cleaned my jets and it idles fine, now i cant even be under 1/4 throttle and it starts to bog
