did '79 have rear disk brakes?

did '79 have rear disk brakes?

Advanved auto is telling me that they only have drums.... I have a 1979 that I race in IT7 and it has rear disk. I want to get an extra set of rotors just in case one cracks but what suouldbi tell them? Is there a way to identify what axel I have to tell them what year I shouls get?

79-80 only had rear drums.

Whats the spacing on the lug nuts for the wheels. If it s4x110, you've probably got an 81-83
rear end unless the driveshaft was replaced as well. If its 4x114 then you have the 84-85 SE
axles and possibly rear end.

Take you old rotor in and have then pull a rear rotor for 81-83 and see if its
the same. I bet your diff is not the stock SA open diff as well.

79/80 was drum only on the rear. 81-85 had the rear disc optional. If you have the solid rotor on the rear, I'd bet someone simply swapped in a disc brake rearend. In that case, just ask for rear brake parts for 81-85 w/12A.
