Dellorto help needed

Im running a stock port 12a with a rb del setup. Im having a real difficult time getting the idle/ fuel air mixtures correctly. is my stock fuel pump flowing enough fuel? the car runs good and fast once it gets going but has an awful, kinda sputter when flooring the gas off idle. The guy i bought it from told me it was jetted for a stock port, how do i find out for sure. Also am looking for the metering pump linkage from this kit so i can stop premixing fuel. Another question, do i turn the 2 fuel mixtures screws on the 2 carbs evenly? And what should my car idle at? Ive heard everything from750 to 1400, i like it around 1000.
appreciate any help or suggestions. THANKS

k you said 2 carbs? Im assumiung you mean two 40MM DHLAs?

Do you have a fuel pressure gauge?

How about a air/fuel gauge?

To do proper tuning you will need both of these

if you're running the RB setup, then it should only be 1 carbie! yes, you turn both idle mixture screws on the carb, but you have to do them according to what your engine likes - you do it by how smooth you get the idle. work on the rear rotor first!

it's really easy to check the jetting to see what you have now. just remove the black plastic cover on top. you'll see 4 (2 idle, 2 upper mixture) tubes (for a flathead screwdriver) remove them and check the numbers on the air jets and fuel jets for them.

also, check www.gruntled.com

idle should be around 800 RPM, but if you want 1000, then by all means ...
