This book should help you. I have a Dellorto but have yet to really mess with it since I just got the car running. They aren't too hard to deal with at all. Gook Luck!

If you have the How to Build & Power tune Weber and Dellorto book, look in the last couple of sections on road tuning. Its a great guide to help you get your carb tuned right.

Also, make sure you get a fuel pump that meets its requirements. The stock one will work but it won't flow enough at the high end for more than a few seconds at a time. The carb likes 3.5 psi but requires high flow rate. I used a dual facet setup I got from Rotary Engineering a long time ago, I think its rated at 70 gph, but don't quote me on that. If you over pressurize the fuel supply, the carb will not idle right, ever. If you need to run a regulator and set it to 3.5 psi. Don't use those cheap one from the zone either as they restrict the flow.

Pinoyremix good to hear you've got a handle on that carb. You'll like it when you finally get it setup and installed.

it only needs 2.25 psi of fuel pressure. never had a need for more. tried 4psi and the float bowl overflowed, lots of drippy drip.

Yeah. I'm pretty sure it is. It was previously installed on my 79 when I bought the car. Then when I got rid of it, I took the carb with me, and reinstalled on my 85.
