In the very tip top.

on a stockport 12a there is no need for an aftermarket fuel pump with racing beats 48dhla. i have the original instructions that came with mine and they state that clearly.

I've had mixed results with Webers and stock fuel pumps. My current setup seems to have a weird feedback loop going on with the internal bypass at cruise, which clears up under higher loads. But a friend of mine ran a 48 IDF with the stock fuel pump just fine.

What ever. I'm not going to argue about it AGAIN.... The stock fuel pump sucks and if anyone plans on making more than 120whp it;'s not going to have enough flow to support it. As Lloyd said you're never going to need the 14psi the holley makes, but you'll want the 110gph it flows if you ever plan on making power. I've never heard a bad thing about the Holley pumps. Paul Yaw is the first I've ever heard a single bad thing about them. IMHO Mallory#1 Holley #2 and Carter a distant #3.

I have the higher pressure Carter. 8psi I believe. on 13b streetport with Weber IDA. It does not fuel starve and is quieter than the holley blues and reds I've used.

Holley pumps. Got a Holley red one from summitracing.com and it leaked brand new from the bottom where the bolts thread the bottom plate into the pump body. got some fuel resistant silicone and had to seal it up twice. pump finally died. got another one later and it didn't leak but stoped pumping one day and got a tow home.

stock pump will not flow enough for an aftermarket carb at WOT.

the racing beat installation instructions say that the stock fuel pump is fine for street driving as long as your not at wot for more than 10 seconds.
for a race car i agree that that the stock fuel pump is no good.
i drove my car for years on the stock pump and never had any problems and the car felt very fast.
i drove the car hard and put it to the test, if i would have had issues i would have upgraded the pump but there was no need.
