Dear God: Need Answer Tonight.
I was about to slap on a new fuel filter "real quick" but when I looked at the filter that's on there now (I think that's a fuel filter I'm looking at) it's a little metal canister, not a plastic one like I've put on all my other 1st gens. Its an inline filter just like the plastic one I bought, and its in the spot where the fuel filter should be.....
Could it be the original filter??? Did they look like that in the past? That would explain my stalling/dying problem that I researched today.

Thanks for the input. I did a search for 83 fuel filter on the web and the pic shown of the correct filter is exactly the one I have. I've changed filters several times before on my 84 & 85 but didn't know if there was something different about 83....
