Dealer wheel bearings

So I went to the local dealer today to try and source some wheel bearings and seals for my SA. I was hoping they had them in stock so I could get busy this weekend rather than wait and pay for shipping. As luck would have it, none are in stock, and the rear bearings are NLA... Booooooo......

And these things are pretty expensive. Guess I'll be ordering from Rock Auto...

Here's a pic of the quote with the part numbers for reference, in case anybody wants to have dealer items:

Mazda uses SKF bearings from the factory. If you are able to source those aftermarket then you'll in essence be buying oem bearings.

Also, you can order parts from:

Mazda Parts | Mazda Accessories

www.onlinemazdaparts.com

www.realmazdaparts.com

All three are great sources for original parts at wholesale pricing. For instance at mazda-parts, each from bearing is $18.37 compared to Mazda's full retail of $25.50

^ Are those Stoptech slotted rotors? I was looking at them on Rockauto. Shame shipping to the UK is so damn expensive! $186 USD - then tax on top ha. More than the rotors themselves

Yes,they're Cryo treated, got a set of four(Cryo on front only) from Tire Rack some time ago. They were running a special with free shipping, was a good deal. I put a set of these on my truck a while ago, kind of a problem child with warping rotors, especially towing. 100k+ miles, still going strong, about time for another set of pads. Thought i'd try a set on SE,probably never have to buy another set of rotors. I take it these aren't available in UK...

Oh wicked as that's pretty cool then. Nah can't find any in the UK. Everyone wants extortionate prices to ship them also haha. Oh well! Probably have to go with standard EBC discs

Yeah, Timken are top dogs haha.

Mazda usually uses Koyo, with some SKF bearings thrown in, they probably would have used Timkin, but Timkin is a US company, so they just weren't local (SKF is German, Koyo, is Japanese)

in 2017, Timkin reboxes a lot of stuff, so you may get something else
