i dont care if the surface gets a little scratched..just no holes. we dont have "publix" around here and also for the moment, my exhaust consists of a pipe..from the header to the gutted muffler, lmao. i dont care about the noise it makes...i love the sounds of an engine

he drifts , but dosen't have enough sense to operate a scaper?

i'm all for air chiseling when its cold, worth the 30 or 40 bucks one cost(or less maybe try lowes or home depot), hell you can take it back when you're done,
anyway, i got about 30 lbs out of a 1980, and yes you definetly have to paint where you strip sooner the better, especially if you live somewhere humid.

I used an el cheapo heat gun and a paint stripper chisel type instrument with a bit of paitence. You might want to wear a mask as it does stink a little! Then used bug and tar remover to clean it back to a metal surface.

This process very lightly nicked here and there but never scraped down to bare metal as the metal has a coating over it.

I'm thinking of using a plastic bag or something to hold it in place in thosae areas. I'll let you know how it goes. Im building a new race chassis for next year.
