Hi guys,
Last weekend I was working on my 1985 12A and trying to start. I was boosting the battery and try to start, after many time, the engine was starting slower and everything stop. No lights, nothing, everything died, the clock is working, the battery is good, but now when you turn the ignition nothing happens, everylight in the dash is dead just like you got not battery. Any idea on that. It takes me 6 month, little buy little, to transfer a 12a 1981 to this 1985. I don't want to lost everything now, I hope.
thanks

hmmmm...
When you crank it over does the clock display disapear?
Sounds like an electrical problem to me, having somthing to do with the ignition and starter causing the problem because all the idiot lights should come to lief when you go to start the car.
Start checking all the wireing you did. There is probably a dead short some wahere, a wire with a split casing or something. DC is like Witch Craft
Good luck

Are you sure the battery is still good.? Even a bad battery makes enough to power the clock. From all the sounds of it, the battery ahs given up the ghost.
Are the battery terminals clean? if they aren't that could be the problem......
