DCOE 45 WEBBER? advice needed

Ok well, i'll start by saying that I have been after a RX-7 for a while now and i think i found the one i want, ( Click here if you wanna help me with that ) but i want to know putting webbers on it, i have been refered to the DCOE 45 my questions are is it good for streetability, effects on engine sound and will it send everything out of wack, like as change one thing everything else needs tuning.

This will be my everyday driving car, but i dont care if it sounds like a 67 Charger R/T infact that would be coolness,or just as loud i mean i know it aint gonna sound like a V8 anyway. I want good street drving though i.e no rough 2000rpm idleing and such.

(And also please recommend an exhaust that would get a deep throaty kind of sound.)

Thank you, kind fellow rotor nutss

Nathan

45 dcoe is very streetable and can easily idle at 800-1000 rpm , as long as its tuned right, but to get the most out of it you'll want to upgrade the fuel system and install a free(er) flowing exhaust. the only exhaust ive heard (and own) is a full header back RacingBeat system, so I'm not sure how throaty the RB exhaust is compared to others. It's not really loud, but its definatley throatier than stock and my dcoe style carb. adds its own unique sound when I stab the throttle, letting me hear the individual intake pulses

I ran one in my FB and loved it. add my msn and I'll tell you my experiences. Pros and con's to running this setup. Are you stockport? Which manifold are you planning on running? I'd be glad to help.

Thanks
Mark

Recommend you put some effort into searching. The carb and exhaust issues have been done to death. Every week someone has a thread on their exhaust system. There is also a thread in the archives about sidedraft versus downdraft carbs. Also plenty of recent threads on the usage of carbs.
